Family Hike at Ha Ha Tonka in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri

(disclosure my trip to Lake of the Ozarks was sponsored, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own)

Ha Ha Tonka melted my heart from the very first time I ever laid eyes on the beautiful castle.

There is something about the view of the castle, the whimsical story of how it burned, and the crumbled remains towering over the Lake that just wisps me away.

There is not a time that I pass through the Lake of the Ozarks area that I do not stop and see the fairy-tale castle - I find it brings me peace to my soul to look out over the beautiful overlook and dream of what this place might have been.

D-man in awe at the beauty of the castle.

On the trail - even though I was there alone with my kids - this park is very SAFE - the park ranger was just down the hill.

He was happy to be back at the Castle!

The Inside View

Enjoying the overlook - the view below is truly stunning.

I told you so!  This is view off the overlook.

Off to the trail - we hiked about 1/2 mile of the tail - it is completely paved, so it is handicap accessible!
