"Meet the Artist" Kathryn Breitenstein

Breitenstein titles her work The Long Way 'Round as a way to describe her road to becoming an artist. Kathryn spent most of her childhood in Lakewood, Colorado she credits the school system and teachers for their encouragement in the art programs. Kathryn's family relocated to Southeast Missouri and she then attended and graduated from Oak Ridge High School and went on to attend Southeast Missouri State University where she says she spent "one blissful year in their art program before putting aside her dream to obtain a more practical degree in nursing."
