Swamps are not just for Ogres

Mingo National Wildlife Refuge is one of the prettiest places near by. Yes swamps can be beautiful. This is my second visit to Mingo in the past few years, I just cannot get enough of the beauty there. Not to mention that it is such a easy hiking trail. Mingo is mostly handicap accessible or toddler accessible they have a nice boardwalk and then is paved in other areas. Park benches along the trail if you need a break and it is mostly shaded. This is an excellent beginner trail or just a Sunday afternoon stroll....if only my husband would have been that romantic when we were dating! Here is the link to the website, while there we did discover the nature center was closed for construction, but should be open soon and is absolutely lovely!

Have a Great Night!
